Hi everyone, Big RRed has a few issues I would like to sort out.

Documentation
I would like to keep Big RRed organised. I will maintain the documentation and if anyone thinks there should be additions/changes then you should post them here. If nobody objects I can make the changes. Maybe we can do the same thing with source code too.

Visual C++
First of all, if anyone can help with making Big RRed work under Visual C++ that would be great. Some people have told me it doesn't work right. I think the functions are being exported with the wrong names. For example, grGlideInit should be exported as _grGlideInit@0 but I think it's not working right.

Alternative Compilers
I am also working on the docs for making RRedline (not just Big RRed) work with certain "alternative" C compilers. I have had success with DJGPP and LCC-WIN32 but I understand some people are having trouble duplicating my results. Any info you can provide will be a great help. We really need to develop step-by-step methods. I understand Rendition would like to include this info in the RRedline package, but it's really up to us to do it for them. Once we have something decent we could submit it to Rendition.

New Release
There is a new release of Big RRed. Version 0.4. The docs are now in MS Word format. The FAQ is included. (see below) There is no binary, just source code. It should be available for downloading here soon.

And now I present, the FAQ
Here is the first FAQ for Big RRed. If there is *anything* you think should be added or changed just email me and I will add them in the next version of the FAQ.

Big RRed FAQ 1.0
----------------

What is Big RRed?
-----------------
Big RRed is a 3Dfx Glide library that runs on top of Rendition
RRedline. The idea is that you can run 3Dfx native games on
the Rendition Verite.

How does it work?
-----------------
Big RRed replaces the 3Dfx Glide library with one that is
written for the Rendition Verite. 3Dfx only supplies Glide
libraries for its own products, including the Voodoo Graphics,
Voodoo Rush and Voodoo2.

Where do I get it?
------------------
3Dfx has asked all web sites not to distribute Big RRed so there
is nowhere that you can get it legitimately. If you register as
a developer at Bjorn's 3D World (http://www.bjorn3d.com/) you can
get the source code. (See "How can I help out?" below.)

Does it work?
-------------
Big RRed is at such an early state that it does not work with
any games. One demo has been found to work. It is called
WarpedGlide. You can find it for download at various 3Dfx
oriented web sites. (Hopefully this FAQ will list some
sites in the next version.)

How can I help out?
-------------------
You can ask to join the developer's section of Bjorn's 3D
World. (http://www.bjorn3d.com/) That will give you access
to a message board, source code, FAQ's, and more. It is
for Rendition developers only.
